MANILA, PHILIPPINES, JUNE 18, 2021 — The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) is adding five new titles to your “must-watch” list this Pride Month in the ongoing PelikuLAYA: LGBTQIA+ Film Festival: “4 Days,” “Daybreak,” “Muli,” and “Porno” by Adolfo Alix, Jr. and “Ang Gasgas na Plaka ni Lolo Bert” by Janina Gacosta and Cheska Marfori.

The five additional titles are available on the FDCP Channel beginning June 18. A total of 27 subscription films (11 PelikuLAYA titles and 16 critically-acclaimed and restored films) are available for streaming for only PHP 99. There are five films screening for free throughout the festival while “Portrait of a Lady on Fire” is available for rental. The Closing Film is the restored version of “T-Bird at Ako,” which will be shown on June 30 through a one-time free screening courtesy of ABS-CBN Film Restoration.

PellikuLAYA’s “We Bring the + to LGBTQIA+” presents four films from the prolific director Alix. “4 Days” is about two college roommates, Mikoy Morales and Sebastian Castro, who keep their relationship within the four corners of their room while “Daybreak” stars Paolo Rivero, a married man having an affair with another man, Coco Martin. They spend one night together confronting the realities of their relationship.

“Muli” features Sid Lucero, a hotel owner in Baguio who meets Cogie Domingo, an upcoming lawyer, and their conversations develop into an affair and powerhouse actors Carlo Aquino, Angel Aquino, Yul Servo, and Rosanna Roces star in “Porno,” which follows three characters involved in the world of pornography.

Cinespectra 2019, Cinema One Originals 2019, and Cinemalaya 2020 short “Ang Gasgas na Plaka ni Lolo Bert” by Gacosta and Marfori stars Dido de la Paz, who plays a closeted gay man in his 60s living with HIV and receives an old vinyl record from his ex-lover, played by Soliman Cruz. This can be accessed for free on the FDCP Channel website.

PelikuLAYA, which began on June 4, was relaunched by the FDCP as an annual LGBTQIA+ film festival organized by the national government to express continued support for gender equality and inclusivity.

The other subscription titles in the 2021 PelikuLAYA lineup are “Masahista” by Brillante Mendoza, “I Love You.
