MANILA, PHILIPPINES, APRIL 23, 2021 — The Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) amps up its continued partnership with the Locarno International Film Festival in Switzerland by supporting the Match Me! Program for the first time.

Established in 2015, Match Me! is an informal networking platform geared towards new and upcoming producers with distinct and focused visions. This year’s edition will be held from August 6 to 8.

The 74th Locarno Film Festival has issued a Call for Entries and the FDCP, as a Match Me! Partner, is accepting submissions via projectlab@fdcp.ph until May 1, 2021. 

The FDCP will select the producers to be the official Philippine participants in the Match Me! Program.

Interested producers should have produced at least one feature or documentary film and should have an ongoing project. They must submit the following requirements:

• Project Dossier
• Filmography
• Company Profile
• HD Profile of Photo in .jpeg format
• Short Video Presentation introducing yourself as a producer and your company (maximum of 5 minutes) in .mp4 file
• Duly accomplished Match Me! application form
• Passport

The three-day Match Me! Program will feature upcoming producers from each partner country who are eager to expand their international film industry network and develop their projects.

Participants will get to introduce their companies' profile and projects to potential co-producers and funds or sales companies through a tailor-made matchmaking service plus a series of professional lunches with industry key players present in Locarno.

The FDCP has been partnering with Locarno for several years through other Locarno Pro Projects such as Open Doors. With the new collaboration for Match Me! Program, the FDCP hopes to provide additional support for Filipino talents and projects in development through their participation in international film programs.

Aside from Match Me! and Open Doors, other Locarno Pro Projects include StepIn, First Look, U30, Heritage Online, and Alliance 4 Development. The 74th Locarno Film Festival will be held from August 4 to 14.
