FDCP Celebrates Philippine Cinema With an Eventful September

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 10, 2020 — With the many changes faced by the country and the rest of the world this year, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) has been continuing its efforts in supporting, promoting, and empowering the local film industry. In the last few months, this support has come in the form of the DEAR assistance program for displaced workers during the pandemic, online film festival support, regional film schools, and more. 

FDCP and The Manila Times Partner for Sine Sandaan in TMT Online Streaming Platform

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 10, 2020 -- Amid the current pandemic, even the film industry has found it necessary to explore creative ways of sharing and continuing to thrive. The internet and online streaming, in particular, has been a significant tool for providing such platforms, as the industry continues to hold events while maintaining necessary safety protocols. With this, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) led initiative ‘Sine Sandaan’ is now the latest to make use of online streaming, as FDCP partners up with The Manila Times Broadcasting Corporation (TMT) to launch the online movie streaming platform ‘Sine Sandaan on The Manila Times TV.’

FDCP’s Film Industry Conference Goes Online for 2020 Edition

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 9, 2020 -- In keeping with an eventful September in honor of Philippine Cinema and the industry, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) will be hosting the online edition of the Film Industry Conference (FIC) from September 11 to 15. Full Circle Lab Reveals Selections for 2020 Philippines Edition

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 1, 2020 -- Following an initial call for projects put out in February this year, Full Circle Lab Philippines has announced the selections for its expanded 2020 online edition. This year’s edition of Full Circle Lab Philippines, co-organized by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and Tatino Films builds on the success of the first ever First Cut Lab Manila held last year and consists of four categories: a ‘fiction,’ ‘series,’ and ‘animation’ lab that will support a total of 16 projects in development, and a ‘First Cut’ editing lab to support four feature films in the editing stage. The program is spearheaded by Matthieu Darras, current director of Full Circle Lab and former Artistic Director of the internationally renowned Torino Film Lab and Polish Producer Izabela Igel, who will both serve as head mentors across the different sections.
