MANILA, PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 2, 2021 — Unveiling the lineup of free film screenings, programs, projects, and activities for the whole month, the Film Development Council of Philippines (FDCP) officially began the Philippine Film Industry Month with the theme "Ngayon ang Bagong SineMula!" on September 1 with the Opening Ceremony featured in the agency’s official online pages and FDCP Channel.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 1, 2021 — To set the first Philippine Film Industry Month in motion this September, “On The Job: The Missing 8” by Erik Matti, the only Asian film selected to compete, will proudly represent the country in the 78th Venice International Film Festival in Italy from September 1 to 11.

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 1, 2021 — More than a year since local cinemas have been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), through the #NoodTayoNgSine online campaign, aims to support the cinema exhibition industry by encouraging Filipino viewers to show their enthusiasm when local cinemas safely reopen. 

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, AUGUST 31, 2021 — As we celebrate the first Philippine Film Industry Month on September, the Film Development Council of the Philippines’ (FDCP) Philippine Film Archive (PFA) will hold free screenings of eight restored film classics  through From the Archive: Pamanang Pelikula from September 1 to 30 on the FDCP Channel. 

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST), and Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) launched two (2) film projects for students to participate in film labs and vlog webinars that will hone and develop their skills in film production.
